ANAHEIM TICKET SOON TO EXPIRE
August 22, 2011

The California State Lottery announced it is still on the lookout for a lucky player from Anaheim who managed to get a second place prize at the multi state Mega Millions game. The person purchased their lucky lottery tickets more than 4 months ago and managed to win a $297,525 prize. Unfortunately for the winner, time doesn’t stop and the ticket will soon expire. The lucky winner bought his ticket at a 7-Eleven located at 103 Brookhurst Street in Anaheim. If you purchased your lottery tickets there about 4 months ago and you still have a ticket with the 1, 14, 35, 50, 53 and missing only the Mega Ball 43, you should travel to a lottery district office as soon as possible and claim your prize. Winners of any state lottery game have 180 days from the draw date until their lottery tickets will expire. This particular winner has less than a month left as his ticket will expire on September 19, 2011, at 5 PM when the state lottery closes shop. Lottery results

This is why it’s just so important to keep your lottery tickets in a safe place that you can always remember. This lottery player probably misplaced his ticket or didn’t even bother to check the numbers and will most likely miss out on a great prize. Sure, almost $300,000 will not make you rich, but it can help a person a great deal. National lottery

In other news, the $37 million Powerball jackpot for the Saturday, August 20, draw went without a winner. However, even though nobody managed to win the big prize, 4 tickets managed to get the first 5 numbers right and should receive a second place $200,000 prize. Unfortunately, none of the tickets were purchased with the Power Play option, so we won’t have any multiplied second prizes this time. One of the tickets was purchased in Arkansas, one in Indiana, one in Maryland and one in Missouri.

36 other tickets managed to get the first 4 numbers and the Powerball right and are eligible for $10,000 prizes. Only one of them was purchased with the Power Play option, so that ticket will receive a $20,000 prize. The numbers for Saturday’s draw were 2, 17, 23, 28, 47 and the Powerball 36. The Power Play number was 2.
