BATTERIES AFTER LOTTERY
November 23, 2011

Have you ever wondered what happens to lottery winners after they win? Winning is so exciting, when you read about people winning it is like if for a split of a second you are allowed to think: What would you do with all that money?

There´s a program that does a good job in revealing the before and after stories of those who have won the lottery. This time the TLC´s Lottery Changed My Life featured on Jason Fry. Lottery checker

Jason Fry won $13.6 million from Florida Lotto in December of 2007.

What would you do with a $13.6 million? There are for sure more than a million possibilities, even beyond buying stuff. Usually people have a set of priorities when they win, and most of them will agree that they will pay off any pending debts, buy themselves a new house and car, travel the world, give to those they love, retiring, there are options for every dollar that Jason won. But Jason instead focused on investing on batteries.

He bought a BatteriesPlus franchise in Cape Coral, Florida. After purchasing the store, he was able to increase the sales at that location by 30%, making it the #1 BatteriesPlus store in the country. Since then, he’s opened two more locations and is looking into opening more. Lottery winning numbers

Batteries isn´t something that you can call it a passion, however Jayson as a very level-headed businessman he considered carefully the reasons of going into business with this franchise. After winning the lottery, he took some time off for himself. After a while he got bored and wanted to do something. Sitting around doing nothing just didn’t appeal to him. A friend of his suggested the BatteriesPlus franchise and after doing some due-diligence, he decided to go for it.

Jason did his research – The U.S. battery industry is a $24 billion a year industry. The average American household has 21 items that require batteries. Even in a bad economy, consumers might put off new purchases, but they would continue to buy batteries to keep what they already have running. Sounds like good business sense.

You might think it is unnecessary to buy batteries at a specialty shop since they are readily available at any convenience store however BatteriesPlus does offers some many specialized services. Actually they cater to many specific needs, and cover from phone batteries to selling specialized batteries to commercial clients.

Aside from buying the franchise as a business decision, Jason Fry also wanted to do his part to boost the economy in his home town. “I want people to know that I didn’t run to the south of France. I put my money back into our economy. Maybe it’s not a huge amount of money, but every little bit helps. It’s sad to drive up and down 41 and see all the closed businesses.”

These are the stories that show that lotteries have a reason to be and a power to change a person´s life, specially when they can make good business decisions and know how to invest their money.
