It is human to want to share your happiness, after all it is practically impossible to conceal it when you are truly happy. It is a matter of feelings and emotions if they are kept quite whether they are emotions that elate you or emotions that drag you down, somehow the body has a way to storing it, in such a way that might generate some type of stress. When you are sad, you cry, that is was your body is programmed you to do. As social beings we are the ones who make rules about crying such as: men don´t cry. But as you know, sadness does not discriminate, why should we. The same way when you are happy what you would like to do is to jump up and down and to let everybody know. That is why people at a sports event do what they do, they shout, they chant, they are happy and they celebrate with beer afterwards, it is all part of honoring what you feel at a given time.
However, Tim Buckwalter had an interesting dilemma. The Midlothian man was at home when he discovered that he’d won $52,000 in the Virginia Lottery’s Win for Life game. The trouble? Everyone in the house was asleep. Powerball lottery
“I couldn’t tell anyone until the next day,” he said.
Can you imagine that! You have just won the lottery but because everyone is asleep a part of you wants to be a good person and let everyone keep on sleeping but on the other hand, you are so happy that if you go to bed without telling anyone then you are the one who won´t be able to sleep at all! Tough decision.
Mr. Buckwalter matched five numbers plus the Free Ball in the November 30 Win for Life drawing. He bought the winning ticket at Sheetz, 2053 Huguenot Road in Richmond.
The winning numbers for that drawing were 3-10-16-21-29-31 and the Free Ball was 4. He selected his numbers using family birthdays.
In the end Mr. Buckwalter, went mum to sleep and celebrated until everyone was awake, he who works in retail management, and as the very responsible person that you have already perceived that he is he expressed that the priority for the winnings would be to help with his children’s education.
I don´t know how many people could have done what Mr. Buckwalter did, after all, I wouldn´t have been able to go to sleep if I don´t tell someone and jump up and down and phone everyone I know no matter what. And only after celebrating with at least a beer would I then go to bed hugging tightly the ticket. What would you do in this case?
