One of the most admirable people to win the lotteries in the last 12 months has unfortunately passed away last Saturday. Violet Large from Nova Scotia, along with her husband, Allen Large, won a $11.2 million lottery jackpot last summer. The couple had donated most of their winnings to friends, schools, churches, hospitals, family members and many others. Lottery numbers
Unfortunately, Violet was suffering from cancer and the sickness finally had its way with the 79 year old woman. It is unfortunate that a woman of such generosity was struck by such a terrible illness, but this is the way things work sometimes. The couple, which were married for 37 years, said that they are more than happy with what they have, and they get much more joy from sharing their winnings with those who need it, rather than just spending it on themselves. The woman’s funeral service was held Tuesday, and we would just like to thank her and her husband for showing that people can still be generous when unexpected money comes upon them. Lottery checker
But you know we don’t like to end things on a sad note, so we will move from Violet Large’s unfortunate demise to some more cheerful news. Lottery winning numbers
Our next story comes from Florida, where a man is now “forced” to visit his mother. His name is Johan Fourie, and he received a call from his mother, asking him when he will finally come to visit. The man thought he was funny and replied, “When I win the lottery.”
The funny thing is that Johan Fourie had forgotten to check his numbers for the Florida Lotto game, held by the Florida State Lottery. His answer reminded him about the lottery tickets, so he checked them and realized that he had won a $4 million jackpot. Ironic, right?
“I had no idea I would be calling her back later that day to tell her I was on my way!” Johan Fourie stated.
The man’s perseverance had finally paid off, as he had played the same combination for 12 years. His numbers are 9, 10, 23, 24, 37 and 38. For 12 years, the man has played these same lottery numbers every week. He chose to get the lump sum payment, so he will receive a bit over $2.3 million.
