The lotteries are good for many things. They contribute tremendous amounts of money to education, veteran services and other noble purposes, and they also help change the lives or those who have little or no hope of ever living the good life. Unfortunately, that old cliché that money doesn’t bring you happiness is sometimes right, and that is the case of the late Graham Gelineau. The man, who was 59 when he departed from this world, was the winner of the largest lottery jackpot in Ontario, with a full prize of $37 million. But once the person was awarded the prize back in 2007, he vanished and he was unheard of by almost anyone ever again. However, not even those who were very close to him and still kept in touch can’t say for sure when Graham Gelineau passed away.
“He made his escape plan, and nobody ever saw him again,” Tom Bailey, the 57 year old friend of Mr. Gelineau, stated. “He knew that (people) would be crawling all over that rooming house looking for him after he won.” Lottery winning numbers
Ken Burnley is an employee at the Trull Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, the institution which is taking care of Graham Gelineau’s last arrangements. Burnley said that “there will be viewing for friends and family, and no funeral.”
The representative from the Funeral Home said that he is unaware of Graham Gelineau’s time of death and he had no idea that the man was rich. Lottery results
When the man managed to hit the outstanding jackpot, he said he would do everything necessary to keep his life from changing, and that he just planned on purchasing an apartment for himself and help out is close friends and family. Also, Graham donated quite a bit of money to the Mount Sinai Hospital, whose doctors were taking care of a sickness that he would not name.
“My life’s going to stay pretty much the same,” Graham Gelineau stated after winning the lottery jackpot. “That’s what I think, but who knows what the future brings?” Lottery checker
“At one time, he had a girlfriend,” Bailey stated. “But he came home one day and she had disappeared — walked out — and he never got over it. He clearly stated he would never be interested in a relationship again after she disappeared.”
