LOTTERY WINNERS OVERWHELMED BY MONEY REQUESTS
July 20, 2011

Well, they were warned, but they didn’t listen. The winners of the Euro Millions lottery who managed to win the gigantic £161 million jackpot now need to hide from everyone who wants a piece of the pie. Recently, they have had a family meeting, to decide how the money will be used. Lottery winning numbers

It appears that the Scottish couple took a plane to the Canary Islands with the sole purpose of getting rid of all the people asking them for money. However, others claim that Colin and Chris Weir went to the Scottish Highlands along with officials from Camelot, the operator of the lottery. State lottery

“We have not seen them since they were on the TV. No one knows for sure where they are but they mentioned needing time to chat about their win with their family. Yet where would you go if you had all that money when your faces had been all over the papers and the TV,” a neighbor of the couple stated. “They are reported to have flown out of Glasgow en route to Lanzarote — but other people claim they are with the Camelot people. One thing is for sure though, they will have to come back here soon.”

Their cars are still parked in their driveway, and the blinds have been pulled at all of their windows. Meanwhile, officials from the Royal Mail said that hundreds of letters from people begging for money are being sent every day. Lotteries

The couple had decided to reveal their identities because they did not want to have to lie to their relatives and close ones. However, as soon as they went public, they realized they had done a huge mistake.

“They are a lovely couple who have been great neighbors of mine for 25 years — but why on earth have they let the cat out of the bag? If they wanted to stay here in this street, they should have just kept quiet. Nobody had to know. Colin is a funny chap, he hardly ever goes out. He’s a home bird. I can’t even see him ever spending much of the money, David Simpson, neighbor, friend and former taxi driver, stated. But it’s hard to believe he and his wife can even contemplate staying here now everyone knows they have got £161 million in the bank. They’ll get pestered to death.”

One of the most entertaining requests came from a vice-president of the local football club. He suggested that the Weirs could donate the money to the club so they could buy Carlos Tevez and Lionel Messi.
