MONEY IN A FOUNTAIN
November 7, 2011

Close your eyes and make a wish! That is always the prelude to a kind of ritual wherein you make a wish, charge it with the dearest intention in your heart and then throw a coin to a fountain or maybe extinguish the candles of your birthday cake. It is also done for a fraction of a second as soon as you see a shooting star. There are a so many rituals that we perform, consciously or unconsciously to ask lady luck for her blessing, so that this time please should it be me whom she favors. But does it actually work? Does throwing a coin to a wishing well really guarantee that your wish will be granted? Will you be awarded by good luck?

According Tony Nozar – yes it does. In fact, just a couple of weeks ago he threw a penny into a wishing well, made his wish which was to win the lottery and walked into a 7-Eleven at 4424 Portsmouth Blvd. in Chesapeake to buy two scratcher tickets. Scratched the first and well, there was nothing. Scratched the second and well there was no more and no less than $5 million! Just instants after performing his little good luck ritual he actually became an instant millionaire. Yes, as easy as that!

I ran back in the store and hugged the clerk,” Mr. Nozar later told Lottery officials. “He said, ‘Did you win?’ I said yes!”
On October the 28th Nozar went back to the shop to receive his wish come true as a fat check. He had a choice between taking the full $5 million over 25 years or an immediate cash option of $3,210,000. He chose the annuity, which comes out to $200,000 per year before taxes. Mega lottery

Nozar, who is a delivery driver, says that his wish is to be able to buy a house. And now thanks to the lucky fountain he will be able to buy the house of his dreams.

The scratch-off game that Tony won on is a game offered by Virginia Lottery called $5 Million Club; it is a very unique game because of its outstanding top prize. The game costs $20 to play and the odds of winning the $5 million top prize are approximately 1-in-1.66-million. Nozar is the third top-prize winner in Virginia’s $5 Million Club, which means that there are still two $5 million tickets out there waiting to be claimed. But this is not all because the second prize for this game is of $1 million and there are still six tickets to be claimed. Powerball lottery

So it might be you next time. That is, after throwing your penny into the fountain!
