Thus, after playing the same set of numbers on his “Iowa’s $100,000 Cash Game” ticket for 20 years, an East Moline, IL, man won a top prize of $100,000.

“The numbers were up there and I thought, ‘I think those are my numbers,’” Wise said. “I checked them and started bouncing all over the house.”

Wise immediately yelled for his wife, Pam, to tell her the good news.

“She came in and didn’t believe me. She had to do a double and triple-take. We are very elated,” he said.

After 20 years of being a lottery fan Wise finally wins big. However this is not the first time that he receives retribution from his tickets, he has been receiving smaller prizes. This time his numbers were chosen randomly and with this win he plans to pay some of his bills first.

“I think I’ll keep playing,” Wise said.

Wise claimed his prize Wednesday at the Iowa Lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids. He purchased his winning ticket at Kwik Shop, 2242 E. 12th St.

Wise is the best example of persistence, he is actually very wise. The lottery is a game of odds, the more you play and the more consistent you are, those odds might turn in your favor, so if you have been playing the same set of numbers for some time, just hang in there a little bit longer, you might never know when those numbers pop up. And when they do, and if you were not persistent enough you might have lost your chance to be economically free because once those numbers come up, you never know when they will be drawn again.
